Downtown Vancouver could get 733 more condo/rental units

A new proposal from Wesgroup wants to build two towers in downtown Vancouver in the Maywood neighbourhood.

Specifically, the towers would go up near the intersection of Willingdon Avenue and Beresford Street. One of the towers would be a 35-storey condo-focused building, while the other 38-storey building would be a mix of condos and rentals. This would offer a total of 733 units.

Currently, the space holds some low-rise buildings that house 116 units.

If the project moves forward, it’s expected to have 61 studio units, 309-one bedrooms, 187 two-bedrooms and 62 three-bedroom units that will sell as condos in one tower. The neighbouring building will have 92 one-bedroom condos and 24 two bedrooms.
