Legendary Candian rock and roll icon Gord Downie’s former abode tucked into the east side of Toronto is on sale.
The five-bedroom, seven-bathroom house is fairly average for its neighbourhood, and it sits at 12 McKenzie Avenue. Its listing, of course, mentions high ceilings, large windows and well-sized rooms.
A BlogTO report mentions that the home has 6,000-square-feet of living space, but not much of a backyard.
Downie owned the home in the early 2000s, and a few owners have taken ownership since then. There’s nothing super outstanding about this house, but it does include an infrared sauna, five fireplaces, and heated floors, so it should be super cozy in the Toronto winter.
Overall it seems like a nice high-end home without being too overstated while still offering excellent access to downtown. The total price of the home is $5,988,000.
