New Kelowna elevated beachside condo project gets final approval, aims to offer EV-charging ports for all

Kelowna City Council has given final approvals to Stober Groups to build a new elevated beachside condominium community called MOVALA.

The condo project is located in the heart of Kelowna’s Lower Mission neighbourhood between Gyro Beach Park and Pandosy Village.

“This is an exciting time for our company, after many years of owning the land and careful consultation we look forward to building this significant residential community that is not only on a premium beachside location, but steps away from shopping, cafes, restaurants and outdoor activities,” said Dave McAnerney, CEO of Stober Group.

According to its pre-registration website, MOVALA will have “20,000 sq.ft. of private gardens, walkways and year-round heated outdoor pool, the Movala outdoor amenity terrace on the fourth floor overlooks Okanagan Lake from far above ground level making it your private beachside oasis.”

There will be one-, two- and three-bedroom homes and feature a business centre, year-round heated pool, hot tub, fitness centre, yoga studio, saunas, showers, private dining lounges, library, a cabana beach club and bocce lawn. and games room.

In addition, there are also plans for EV-charging capability at every parking spot.
