It looks like Toronto’s The Ballroom could soon turn into a two-tower condo development.
The project, slated to be built at 241 Richmond Street West across from the 133 John Street parking lot, will feature two towers and 41 storeys in total in height.
According to Toronto Urbanized, the heritage-protected front of the Handy Harman building at 241 Richmond is included in the tower’s design.
In total, the towers will feature 40 condo units, including studio, three-bedroom and one bedroom units. The base of the development will include 1,410 square metres of retail space.
Renders of the building shown off by Alliance/Tridal indicate that the bottom floor retail space could include a restaurant. These photos also reveal that a public park will sit adjacent to the building.
As is the case with most condo tower announcements, the building has not been approved by the City of Toronto’s zoning by-law amendment.
