If you thought you’d have to spend several million dollars to purchase a home in Toronto that features a pool, think again.
An $849,000 listing in Scarborough for a home at 79 Northfield Road features exactly that.
The detached three-bedroom one-bathroom home is close to the 401 and a Go Station, features a hot tub, a basement with a separate entrance and of course, the true selling feature, an above-ground pool.
As is often the case, with homes this cheap, the entire house is in dire need of significant renovations. Everything from the carpet to the rather ancient-looking kitchen is extremely dated and very late 80s/early 90s.
However, on the plus side, both the pool deck and windows have all very recently been replaced. According to blogTO, the house was listed in January $843,000, which means that its current owners have lived in it for less than a year.
This could mean they aimed to flip it for extra money and ran out of cash, there are underlying issues with the home or absolutely nothing at all.
Still, it’s definitely something to consider if you’re thinking of checking it out.
